Our robot design this season had 5 main components that ultimately helped us score many points 

Viper Slides 

One of the 5 major components that led us to success was our slides. We used the viper slides from Gobilda because they were fast, efficient, and don't require stringing like misumi slides. Slides allowed us to reach the high basket and hang specimens onto the bar

Linkage Mechanism 

Another one of the 5 components that helped us succeed was our linkage mechanism that moved the misumi slide. The misumi slide in front was for extending and retracting when we had to grab samples from the submersible. To make it go forward we had a linkage that was powered by a motor to push the slide forward and back. This mechanism helped easily grab the right samples from the submersible

Back Claw 

The back claw was a very important part of out robot  because it made hanging specimens simple, fast, and consistent. The claw was made using CAD and was printed using TPU filament which allowed to be flexible but still firm. The specimen had to be hung on the 2 in barrier wall and the robot would have to ram into the wall backward to make sure the specimen was tightly inside the claw.

Roller Intake 

The roller intake was one of the most important mechanisms on our robot. The purpose of this mechanism was to be able to grab a sample quickly and efficiently. A sushi roller is attached to a shaft which spins by the power of a servo. When this mechanism approaches a sample, the roller wedges itself into the inside of the sample
